Sorry for the lack of posts for the last few days Facebook had blocked me, and we’ve been ever so busy preparing the mass mailout.
This week’s worship sheet can be found here
One of the people that we are finding we are talking to (at a distance – the other side of the gate) a lot at the moment is our Postal Officer, no its not Pat its Nicky. We seem to be getting a lot more post now, and we’ve been getting updates from her everyday.
As well as applauding our NHS last night we were applauding people like Nicky, and the delivery drivers, the shop workers, and many many more people. Let’s give thanks to God for those that are supporting us through this pandemic, and remember them in our prayers.
Caroline came up with the idea of putting the puppets in the windows. One of the songs we do with the birds is Bob Marley’s “Three little birds”, so I put up the caption from the song Don’t worry be happy. A free dvd of this week’s service to the first person who comments below with the Bible passage about birds and not worrying.
Our neighbours’ youngest son loved the puppets in the window so much that he did us a lovely note and a rainbow colouring. We’ve also put that up in the window.
Folks let’s keep looking to the good things people are doing.
Philippians 4:8 New Revised Standard Version, Anglicised (NRSVA)
8 Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
A lot of our work so far has been in supporting people by providing worship online, and blogs and Facebook posts. Yesterday thanks to Angie, and Caroline we were able to send a Pastoral Letter to 253 households across the circuit. Look out for your letter and let us know when you receive it.
Every Blessing and keep safe, keep caring, keep praying.
